Take Off Your Pants and Jacket is the fourth studio album of Blink-182. It was released on June 12, 2001 by MCA Records. The band recorded the album with Jerry Finn for over three months, spanning from January to March 2001. Recordings were contentious as the three members were constantly arguing over the band's musical direction, which were only made worse by pressure from MCA executives. This album would also their last under MCA Records as the label dissolved in 2003.

Upon release, Take Off Your Pants and Jacket was met with commercial and critical success, reaching #1 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album benefited greatly from its three singles: "The Rock Show", "First Date", and "Stay Together For The Kids", which all were successful and garnered popularity. The album has sold more than 14 million copies worldwide and was certified platinum two times by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
