Blink 182

blink-182, formerly known as Duct Tape and blink, is a pop punk band from Poway, California. Though they had to change the official name of the band from blink due to another group with the same name, they are still most commonly referred to by fans as simply blink. The band was formed in August 1992 and originally consisted of Tom DeLonge, Mark Hoppus and Scott Raynor. Raynor was replaced by Travis Barker in 1998. On February 22nd, 2005, it was announced that the band was on an indefinite hiatus. DeLonge left the band and went on to form Angels & Airwaves, while Hoppus and Barker formed +44. On February 8th, 2009, the band confirmed that they were reuniting, ending the hiatus. In 2011, they released a new album called Neighborhoods. A year later they released an EP called Dogs Eating Dogs. In January 2015, DeLonge left the band once again, and was within days announced to be replaced with Matt Skiba from the band Alkaline Trio for a few shows before becoming an official member. Hoppus is now the only remaining original member. The current lineup then played their first shows in March 2015. Their newest album, California, was released on July 1st, 2016
